My childhood memories of assisting my grandparents in serving meals and playing with underprivileged children left a lasting impact on me. These experiences became the foundation of my desire to give back to society and remain connected to my roots and values. Despite going to Australia for my undergraduate studies in Information Technology at Harvard and pursuing an additional year specializing in e-business at Deakin University, my heart always yearned to serve my community.
After completing my education, I began working at St. Vincent de Paul in Australia, which further instilled in me the importance of serving others and contributing to the welfare of society. This led me to conceive the idea of starting an NGO to work in India, driven by the desire to serve its people. With the vision of ‘dev’ and ‘Shanti’ as the pioneers of serving the people of India, I established the Dev Shanti Charitable Trust in 2011.
Serving the community has been a heritage in my family, and over the past ten years, Dev Shanti Charitable Trust has made a significant impact. Our organization focuses on helping underprivileged children, students, and the elderly in various areas of Vadodara, India. Throughout the years, we have served hundreds of families and fulfilled their needs. This brief summary provides an overview of our journey so far.
